The mushers from Montana who will participate in the 2007, 1,100-mile Alaska Iditarod Sled Dog Race will be in Lincoln for the 7th Annual Iditarod Day at the Historic Lincoln Community Hall. The celebration starts at 2:00pm.
The seven Montana mushers who participated in last years race, as well as Doug Swingley, four time World Champion, and many of the past Iditarod Montana Mushers, joined us last year to sign autographs and answer questions. Musher equipment and gear will be on display and a detailed description of the process a musher takes to train and qualify for the Last Great Race.
In the past, visitors from 11 states and 44 Montana towns have participated. Cake and coffee will be served. This annual event is made possible by volunteers and the generosity of local merchants. |
