Birch Creek Trail

Birch Creek Trail goes to an unique geological formation known as the Needles. This is a nice hike if you have a camp at one of the lakes within the Birch Creek Basin. This trail can be used all year and is rated moderate for difficulty. The usage is medium.

Length: 2.0 miles
Trail Beginning: Trail Junction 150 and 152
Trail End: Section 12, T 8N, R 4E at the Needles

Directions
Take Highway 12 east from Townsend for 2 miles; turn to the north on Road 284. Follow this road approximately 11 to the Duck Creek Road 139. Turn east and follow the road for 16.5 miles to the Birch Creek Road 8961. Follow this road to the end. Take the Gipsy Lake Trail 150 for 5 miles to the junction with Birch Creek Trail.
