Maverick Mountain
Hidden away in the mountains of southwest Montana, you'll find Maverick Mountain, one of Montana skiers' best-kept secrets. Maverick is a big mountain with 2,000 feet of superb snow and uncrowded trails offering exciting skiing for every level of skier.
Maverick Mountain is a favorite of families and kids for downhill skiing and features an extensive cross country skiing network of trails. It is located near a mineral hot springs with cross-country trail access. Cross-country ski rentals are available at Elkhorn Resort (2 miles from ski area). The longest downhill run is 2 miles.
The Mountain is available for private skiing Monday through Wednesday for groups of 100 or more.
Facilities include a base lodge with cafe, beer and wine room and a ski shop with downhill rentals and ski instruction.
A motel, bar, and 2 restaurants are located with 2 miles of the hill. Swimming may be enjoyed in the nearby mineral pools. Lodging is available nearby at the Grasshopper Inn, Elkhorn Hot Springs or in Dillon, Montana.
