Fairmont Hot Springs Resort
Originally called medicine waters by area Native American tribes, these hot springs have been offering relaxing, rejuvenating waters near the Continental Divide in a hotel or resort setting since 1869.
George and Eli Gregson purchased the land that is now Fairmont Hot Springs in 1869 from a man named Hulbert. The brothers build a small hotel and bathhouse, and the resort thrived during the early 1900's. In 1914, the two-story Gregson Hotel was destroyed by fire but construction soon began to replace the hotel. The resort continued to operate as Gregson Springs until 1971. In 1972 Lloyd Wilder purchased the property and invested over $5 million in the construction of the current resort and renamed it Fairmont Hot Springs Resort.
Known throughout the Northwest for its pools, Fairmont Hot Springs Resort has it all - 152 Guest Rooms and Suites, Dining, Hot Springs, Golf, and Convention Facilities. There are two Olympic-sized swimming pools, two mineral soaking pools, one of each located indoors and outdoors. Fairmont's 350' enclosed waterslide is open year round. Fairmont's 18-hole, par 72 golf course is available April through October. Lighten Up Massage at Fairmont offers Swedish massage treatments, sugar or salt glow body rubs, and river rock massages, just to name a few.
